I am a huge fan of the Boho trend that is so popular for interiors right now. At its core, boho is a relaxed style with lots of natural textures and global patterns. Think piles of cushions, raw wood and whitewashed walls. There are lots of different ways to approach the boho trend – you could go for a bright, eclectic colour palette, or for a dark and masculine feel.
Rustic Boho Inspiration
For this weeks Shop The Look post, I’ve put together a boho bedroom with more of a rustic touch. I love the rustic look, and it works so well when combined with boho, with an earthy colour palette and lots of natural finishes.
How To Get The Rustic Boho Look
To achieve the rustic boho look in your home, start with a simple, natural colour palette. For this bedroom look, I’ve used burnt copper and blush accent colours on a neutral backdrop. I’ve also used touches of black and charcoal grey which help to tone down the scheme and give it a bit of depth. Opt for items with natural finishes. Lots of light wood and black metal is perfect. Make it feel super cosy and comfy with piles of cushions on the bed or sofa. Layer different textures together for the ultimate laid-back, cosy feel. Linen, sheepskin, wool and velvet work well when combined. Bring the look to life with lots of plants and greenery. Steer clear from anything too shiny or polished and you can’t go wrong.
